As stem4’s Youth Services Development Co-ordinator, my job is to liaise with schools, help in the organisation and delivery of conferences and work with young people on stem4 related projects. I also put together educational material by researching and integrating relevant psychological information. I am currently working on promoting the stem4 ‘calm harm’ app as well as developing our new website, webinars and online resources. I am the contact for young people via the stem4 community page.
I first came across stem4 when we were looking for a local charity to benefit from our charity ball. Since the first event in 2014 I have had the opportunity to work closely with Nihara and the team as an advisor for various elements of the charity including business development and marketing. I am delighted to be classed as part of the team for such an incredible cause where every member works tirelessly to make a difference!
I have 25 years in the IT industry managing a variety of development projects. I believe stem4 is a brilliant charity to be part of so I offered my services to assist them with managing the development of their new website as a volunteer. We are a small team who all understand the amazing benefits stem4 can have, do have and have had on people. I have 2 children who are pre-teens who also love helping out at stem4 events.
